Many of the teachers at Stephen's school know I love to bake, as I often bake for them. I am always looking for new recipes and creative ways of making treats into edible art. Recently a few students made some fancy "flower" cupcakes for Stephen's team leader and one of the teacher's told Stephen to take one home to me b/c she thought I'd love this idea. She was right! I am so glad she thought of me, b/c this is by far one of the cutest designs I have seen.
The flower look on the cupcake comes from miniature marshmallows that are cut diagonally, then dipped in colored sugar. I made these last night [pictured below] for an Easter celebration and I absolutely love this concept. They take time, but are well worth it for a special occasion!
